I’ve been in the Real Estate business for several years now and I’ve seen far too many seminars teaching people crazy things and scams going on it’s unbelievable. I highly recommend you talk with a licensed Real Estate Broker when dealing with important property transactions. They usually have the most at stake and are committed to doing business the right way. Licensed agents are great too, yet make sure you also talk with someone who has gone the extra mile to make sure you are the first priority. Use extreme caution when dealing with any property owner in this day and age. Make sure you are represented by a Professional and not a con-artist.

I’m really beginning to hate a certain social networking website’s marketplace home search. It allows far too many scammers it appears. When I go there and search for houses with certain criteria, that’s what I want to see! I don’t want to see some company say they have houses for sale only to find out they don’t and discover they are merely attempting to get me to pay for their property lists they have found from public records which are often outdated to say the least. When I see them doing this, I don’t know about you but it certainly makes me question the validity of their property list even more!

As I was clicking on this certain social networking websites’ marketplace application, most of the Real Estate listings in a particular search brought me results that were from a user leading to the website which does not list any homes for you there at all. The site has been designed to get you to give them your credit card information and they claim you can access home information as follows:

“Find Foreclosed Homes as low as $10,000 Sign up for our exclusive listings of foreclosure BARGAINS! Pricing Information By clicking Sign Up, you agree to be enrolled in the 7 day trial for $1.00, and after the trial expires, you agree that your card will be charged $49.60 per month until you cancel.”

Well, this website may not be that all bad, yet when I’m looking for homes for sale I’m not looking for people selling me information about homes for sale. I am really bothered by this bait and switch tactic. I found the information as to who is in charge of this website, and wanted to post it here in case anyone has troubles later; this information may not be available.

Yet, I won’t post it here but will say you can go to your favorite social networking site, find their marketplace app, search for homes on the real estate section and I’m sure you’ll find a lot of listings with something at the bottom that says subscription required from the same user it appears. Once you click that home they advertise for sale or any of the many they list, you will be able to see the website. Once you go there you can copy their domain name down, then go to Godaddy.com or most domain name registrars and do a domain name search for that name. Once you see it is taken, just click the spot that says something along the lines of see the WHOIS information and you will know who is in charge of or owns that domain name.
